October in the Smokies is a great time. There are so many fun fall activities that everyone in the family is sure to find something they will love. From apple cider to corn mazes to pumpkin patches and hay rides, check this post out for some must do fall activities! Kyker Farms: Located off Highway 66 and is open September 30-October 30. One admission price gets you a full day of fun. Check out the pumpkin patch, hayride, tunnel slides, straw crawl, corn tub, corn cob swing, corn hole, educational barn with lots of kritters, bouncing pillow, and several corn mazes. Spring into the Smokies

Spring into the Smokies! It's spring time in the Smokies, which means it's a great time to get out and explore all the beauty our area has to offer. There are several great hikes with varying difficulties for those who like to explore. Try horseback riding or zip lining for the more adventurous types. Not quite sure about too much adventure? Check out the motor loops and enjoy the Smokies from your car! Hiking:   Porter's Creek trail is located in the Greenbriar section of the Smokies and is considered a moderate hiking trail. It is 4.0 miles in length and is one of the most popular wildflower trails in the park. The fringed phalencia is so abundant that it looks like a fresh snowfall. This trail is great, because it has so much to see. Don't miss the cabin, barn, cemetery, and waterfall; as well as, one of the longest foot bridges in the park! 2012 By the Numbers

In the 1st 6 months of 2012 Tennessee is ranked second in the "Top Ten States where Relocation Requests Originated." The Top Ten are as follows: Florida Tennessee Ohio Mississippi North Carolina Georgia Louisiana Virginia Illinois Indiana Homes & Land of the Smokies had 543 requests in the last 6 months.  These requests originated from 36 different states. Homes and Land has had 29 years of continuous service in the region and over 39 years across America.
