It's Christmas Lights Time!

WINTERFEST CELEBRATIONS ACROSS THE COUNTY!
Sevier County always kicks off the Winter Season in a big way. Each city has their own unique celebration to get the entire family excited about the festivities and magic of winter time!


The Winterfest Celebrations begin in Sevierville. Sevierville’s Winterfest Kickoff takes place from 3 to 8 pm on November 6th in downtown Sevierville. Enjoy plenty for the kids to do; face painting, arts & crafts, balloon animals, inflatables, and games. There’s tons of food and plenty of stage acts. Enjoy a mascot dance off, performances from local dance teams, lumberjack competitions, and music. The event concludes with a spectacular firework display!



 The 28th Annual Pigeon Forge Winterfest Kickoff will be held on  November 7th at Patriot Park! Enjoy old time games and vendors beginning at 4 pm followed by live entertainment at 6pm. The event concludes with a free trolley tour of the lights at 7 pm.

 The Winterfest Celebrations events ends in Gatlinburg on November 8th! Gatlinburg’s Winter Magic and Chili Cook off features samples of mouthwatering recipes of chilis. The main strip of downtown Gatlinburg transforms into a block party of delicious aromas and festive music. The event is held from 5 to 8 pm and begins with city dignitaries lighting the more than 3 million lights throughout the city. The renowned Journey tribute band, Departure will headline the event.

As Real Estate Agents The Derosia Team likes statistics.  In particular, we like to compare the market from year to year.  We would like to share some comparisons for 2006-2011 to show you how the market has changed. We focused on each individual area of Sevier County and the Volume Sold per area.  Here are a couple visual aids to show the change in the Smoky Mountains. Volume of Sales for 2006-2011 This is the same information just a different representation of the data! Volume of Sales for 2006-2011 We also compared the total volume sold for Sevier County as a whole through 2006-2011.   So as the economy suggest the market has dropped since 2006 & 2007.  However on a positive note the market for 2008-2011 has been somewhat consistent in the Smoky Mountains with a slow rise in volume.
