Vacation Rentals vs Hotels

Have you ever contemplated whether you should go with a vacation rental or a hotel while you are vacationing?  Vacation rentals are an outstanding alternative to hotels.  They are possibly the best way to enjoy a truly relaxing and rewarding family vacation.

Vacation rentals in the Smoky Mountains are very abundant and are often cost efficient.  Many of the vacation rentals in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge are log cabins centered in the heart of the Smoky Mountains providing a beautiful scenic view.  While most hotels provide daily maid service, vacation rentals offer other amenities that may outweigh the daily maid service.

Most vacation rentals have fully equipped kitchens allowing you to dine in for some or all of your meals.  While staying in a hotel often means you will have to eat out for every meal which can really start to add up if you are traveling on a budget.  Vacation rentals have more spacious living area, which makes traveling in groups more convenient and comfortable.  Staying in a cabin in the Smoky Mountains allows you to take a day away from town and enjoy the private and peaceful setting with the family.

Hotels in the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge are a little cheaper than a vacation rental but if you factor in meals than a vacation rental can save you money in the long run if you take advantage of the fully equipped kitchen.  We feel that the spacious living area and convenience of the family being able to stay in the same house together is worth every penny.

If you are traveling to the Smoky Mountains we recommend you compare the prices of a hotel to a vacation rental.  If you are traveling in a group and splitting the cost with others in the group a vacation rental is the way to go.  Vacation Rentals by Owner is a great way to rent your next cabin.  Check Out: www.vrbo.com to rent your next “home away from home.

Vacation rentals are probably cheaper and that is what many people are after but sometimes hotels provide wider array of services and fun for the entire family...
