Happy Easter


Easter is a time for Springtime Festivals and a holiday for Christians to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.  Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Sevierville, Tennessee have several different Easter Festivals and Celebrations for visitors and locals of all ages. 

On Saturday, April 7, 2012, The Pigeon Forge Community Center will a host brunch with the Easter Bunny at the Old Mill Square at 8 am followed by an Easter Egg Hunt at Pigeon Forge City Park at 10 am. The Easter Egg Hunt is split up into 4 differentage groups so every kid has a chance to participate.  The times are staggered so that parents with kids in different age groups will have a chance to regroup and watch all kids participate. The age groups consist of 3 and under, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12.  The Easter Egg Hunt is a free event however their is a charge for brunch with the Easter Bunny.  Spaces are limited so you might want to get your tickets today.  You can purchase your tickets at the Pigeon Forge Community Center or by calling (865) 429-7373.

On April 5-7 The Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Community will host their annual Great Smoky Mountains Easter Arts & Crafts Show at the Gatlinburg Convention Center located on Historic Nature Trail in Gatlinburg.  Unique handcrafted gifts and products made buy the members of the Arts &Crafts Community are put on display and are available for sale.  Demonstrations are also part of the show.  Admission for this event is free.  Here is a video of more information on the show.

On Easter Sunday morning Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort (on top of Mt. Harrison) will host an Easter Sunrise Service sponsored by Gatlinburg Ministerial Association.  The service offers complimentary tram services to the top of the mountain beginning at 5:15 am.  The Easter Service will begin at 6:00 am.  There is a breakfast buffet available.  For more information call (800) 251-9202.
